Logistics Plus Earns SQF Certification for Its Phoenix Warehouse

Business Updates

Erie-based global logistics leader achieves the internationally recognized Safe Quality Food (SQF) standard at its Glendale, Arizona facility, with its Chino, California warehouse expected to be certified in the coming weeks.

LP Phoenix Warehouse SQF CertifiedERIE, PA (August 6, 2026) – Logistics Plus, Inc. (LP), a global leader in transportation, logistics, and unique supply chain solutions, today announced that its Phoenix, Arizona warehouse has earned Safe Quality Food (SQF) certification — one of the most rigorous, internationally recognized food safety and quality standards in the world. The company also expects to complete SQF certification at its Chino, California warehouse in the coming weeks.

Recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), SQF certification confirms that a facility follows a documented, independently audited food safety management system spanning sanitation, storage conditions, traceability, employee training, and recall readiness. For the food and beverage brands LP serves, an SQF-certified warehouse means retail-ready, food-grade storage and fulfillment — and a partner whose certification helps reduce their own audit burden and accelerate their path to market.

LP’s newly certified Phoenix facility (PHX 3), located on West Glendale Avenue, is one of three Logistics Plus warehouses in the greater Phoenix market that together offer more than 2.5 million square feet of storage and fulfillment space, positioned for efficient Southwest distribution and West Coast import and export activity. The company’s 565,000-square-foot Chino, California hub extends food-grade warehousing to the Los Angeles basin and West Coast ports.

“Earning SQF certification is the result of about a year of focused work by our warehouse team, and it’s a standard our customers increasingly expect,” said Tom Kelly, Vice President of Warehouse Operations at Logistics Plus. “It tells food and beverage brands that when they store product with us, it’s being handled in a facility built and audited to the highest food safety standards. Getting Chino certified in the coming weeks will bring that same assurance to Southern California.”

“This certification reflects the discipline and quality our teams bring to every facility we operate,” said Frank Knafelz, Senior Vice President of Logistics Plus. “As we continue to grow our West Coast warehousing network, investments like SQF certification make Logistics Plus an even stronger partner for the brands that trust us with their products.”
