
Abrazo Health Expands Access to Advanced Care in West Valley to Meet Needs of One of Arizona’s Fastest Growing Regions
WEST VALLEY, AZ – West Valley residents have greater access to advanced specialty care close to home as Abrazo Health expands services ranging from cardiovascular care to robotic surgery and neuroscience programs to now being the only DNV Comprehensive Stroke Center west of Interstate 17, offering patients high-quality healthcare where they live and work.
These services are meeting an increasing demand for advanced healthcare, including care for heart attacks, traumatic injuries, stroke, cardiovascular disease, neurological conditions, and other serious medical needs where/when timely access to treatment can make a lifesaving difference.

Recent additions and enhancements at Abrazo West Campus include:
• Achieving DNV Comprehensive Stroke Center designation, the highest level of stroke care, providing West Valley residents access to advanced stroke interventions and specialized neuroscience expertise when every minute matters
• Opening state-of-the-art hybrid operating room that combines advanced surgical and cardiovascular capabilities in a single setting, supporting more complex procedures
• Becoming one of the first AZ hospitals to acquire the da Vinci 5 surgical robotic system, advancing minimally invasive colorectal, general surgery, urology, and gynecologic procedures
• Adding O-arm surgical imaging and advanced neurosurgical technology to support complex spine and neurological procedures
• Upgrading cardiac catheterization laboratories with advanced imaging technology, expanding access to complex cardiovascular procedures, and enhancing heart care across West Valley
• Expanding interventional radiology capacity to improve access to minimally invasive treatments for growing patient population
• Opening new inpatient pharmacy, expanding medication management, sterile compounding capabilities, and support for growing patient volumes
• Comprehensive renovation and rebranding of The Nest women's services unit, creating an enhanced labor and delivery experience focused on comfort, convenience, and exceptional maternity care
• Adding MAKO 4 robotic system, enhancing precision and outcomes for patients undergoing total hip and knee replacement procedures
• Opening 60,000-square-foot Medical Office Building in Buckeye on Verrado Way, expanding local access to cardiology, orthopedics, sports medicine, neurology, and other specialty services in one location
